The Mona Lisa is without doubt the most famous painting of 16th century artist and scientist, Leonardo da Vinci.
When his usual model fell ill, he was fortunate enough to find a new one in Michelle Carter of the 25th century. Unfortunately, he was unable to sketch her when she had to leave for Rome with her brother.
Luckily, Da Vinci was able to capture Michelle's unique look by memory with some subtle changes. Leonardo didn't sell the painting but was sold after his death by his assistants, switching from owner to owner until it got displayed at the Louvre, at Paris.
There it would become a world treasure and thus a target for villains that tried to obtain it. One of these was Vandal Savage.
