In order to capture Taffy the beef thief, Dover and Clover disguise themselves as two barrels of sauerkraut. That same day an over-fermented barrel of sauerkraut explodes at Butcher Koldcutts' shop, creating confusion and turmoil which spills over into the neighboring theatrical agency, where Taffy turns out to be a shopper not a beef thief, and gets a job as an actress.
