History

Run by an elderly widow named Mrs. Wagner. One of her tenants was Freddy Freeman, the teenage super-hero known as Captain Marvel, Jr.[1] Some time later, Billy Batson (Captain Marvel) and Mary Batson (Mary Marvel) also briefly lived there.[2] It was also the home of Tandy McCrae, a dressmaker and personal friend of Beautia Sivana. Beneath the house was a private laboratory owned by Professor Edgewise.

The super-villain Captain Nazi once raided the boarding house in search of Tandy McCrae. Having fallen in love with Beautia Sivana, Captain Nazi tried to force Tandy to make her a wedding gown so she would agree to marry him. This incident brought him into conflict with his young foe Captain Marvel, Jr. Marvel burst through the wall of the boarding house and knocked Captain Nazi out with one punch.[3]
