History
Mucous Membrane was an English punk rock band that featured John Constantine, going by the stagename "Johnny Con-Job," as its lead singer. Other members included Gary Lester and their drummer Beano, as well as roadie Chas Chandler. They disbanded after Constantine accidentally unleashed an uncontrollable demon that attacked the band and took a young girl named Astra to Hell. This incident caused Constantine to have a nervous breakdown and be committed to a psychiatric hospital.
