Synopsis for "A Question of Resurrection"

Comet started investigating why someone would kidnap him or steal his corpse. First, Blake visits Star Hawkins who keeps himself well informed on all illegal operations in Hardcore but Hawkins is immediately killed during mid conversation with Blake. Blake could sense a psychic pulse that was used to kill Hawkins from inside his mind. As a telepathic, Blake also has the ability to deliver this deadly blow but he has never been tempted to use it. Afterwards, Blake is attacked by three of Deacon Dark's telepathic followers but he manages to escape by discovering his new-found ability to teleport.

Synopsis for "Reconnaissance"

The Weird arrives on Hardcore and is drawn to the Eternal Light Corporation. Deacon Dark met with the Weird to offer him a chance to join his convent. Dark tells his followers to observe the Weird in order to determine whether or not the Weird will benefit the church. The followers consider the Weird's sanity to be delusional despite his impressive strengths and his newly resurrected form has them unsettled. They deem the Weird to be a threat and Dark would agree. However, Synnar gave Dark explicit instructions about keeping the chosen members of the Aberrant Six alive. Dark instructs five of his followers to convert the Weird since he does not suspect the church of anything.
