Nanda Parbat is a hidden city nestled high in the Himalayas; it is said to be a place of healing and enlightenment watched over by the goddess-like figure Rama Kushna and her monks.

History

Like Shangri-La, time moves differently in Nanda Parbat. Its visitors are often able to retain their youth many decades after their arrival, and yet can leave Nanda Parbat to find that less time has passed in the outside world.[1]

When Nanda Parbat was threatened with destruction by Sensei, one of the leaders of the League of Assassins, the entity of Rama Kushna warned Deadman about the dangers and he teamed-up with Batman to stop Sensei's plan.[2]

During the events of the Witching Hour, Nanda Parbat was completely destroyed and rebuilt by Hecate. She managed to overpower and banish Rama Kushna from her own place of power and put a new guardian and overseer of her own creation, the Ultrapsychopomp, into the newly created Great Necropolis.[3]
