Nemesis is a name used by several characters in the DC Universe, although it is primarily the alter-ego of Tom Tresser. Tresser is a former vigilante who uses his combat skills and mastery of disguise as a government agent. He has been a member of the Global Peace Agency, Jihad, Shadow Fighters and the Suicide Squad. Soseh Mykros would later also use the name, an assassin of The Council who joined the Justice Society. In the Wildstorm Universe there is a Coda-trained Kherubim assassin named Lady Charis who uses this alias as a member of the Wildcats. There is also a God of Olympus representing retribution named Nemesis. Nemesis was created by Cary Burkett and Dan Spiegle, first appearing in Brave and the Bold #166. (1980)
