Synopsis for "Bloodline Part Five"

Commander Gideon continues with his speeches about how New Genesis must rise on a full-on war against Apokolips. A tremor interrupts his speech, which, according to Highfather, is caused by the fears and doubts Gideon is fanning on its people, shattering the belief upon New Genesis is built.

Meanwhile, in Armagetto, Kalibak continues with his mission to hunt down the Hunger Dogs. Orion, still disguised as a soldier, finds out Kalibak's wrist-key opens the path to Section Zero, so he plans on taking it from him. The soldiers reach the rebel base, and Jovita distracts them with a grenade while the rebels escape. Before they leave, Orion reveals himself to Jovita. Kalibak finds a little girl left behind by the rebels. He commands his soldiers to go away and keep a perimeter while he tends to her. Fearing he will kill the girl, Orion sneaks behind him, ready to strike, but Kalibak lets her go in an act of kindness. After she is safe, Orion strikes, rendering Kalibak unconscious and taking his wrist-key. With the rebels safe, Jovita decides to help Orion.

Kalibak goes to Darkseid's citadel and lies about the mission report, saying they have slain all the rebels and that the "new soldier" gave his life in battle.

Among the ruins of the Old Gods, Metron contemplates the idea of what would happen if Darkseid succeeds in his goal. Metron finds a strange cocoon emanating some sort of energy, and he witnesses it giving birth to a creature.
