Synopsis for "Cosa Nostra Chapter One: Familia"
Nightwing is in Gotham City and observes a storehouse at the river. Dick has the place wired and listens to a conversation between Frankie Black and a man named Pasquale who both work for crime boss Serge Malfatti. Frankie had set up a false alibi for himself in the Starlight Hotel, but now Pasquale tells him that the prostitute who was supposed to be a bribed witness got killed in Frankie's hotel room.
The Huntress is at the Starlight Hotel where Sergeant Harvey Bullock talks to Officer Mason who found the dead woman. Bullock orders all police units to search for Frankie Black.
Meanwhile Black left the storehouse together with Pasquale and his girlfriend Moira. Originally he wanted to finish a weapons deal with a guy named Russo. As Russo and his thugs enter the warehouse they are attacked by Nightwing. After defeating them, Dick joins Huntress near the Starlight Hotel. Huntress hates the Mafia and wants to make sure that Black pays for his crimes. She does not care about the fact that Frankie Black did not kill the woman in the hotel.
While Bullock and Officer Mason start to interrogate Black, Pasquale informs his Boss Malfatti about what happened at the hotel. Malfatti did not know about Frankie being in love with the woman named Moira and he senses that Frankie wanted to cheat him.
At the hotel, Nightwing and Huntress search the crime scene for some clues. It is obvious that the Mafia did not kill the prostitute. Out of nowhere Huntress kisses Nightwing and asks him if he cooperates with her just to look out for her or because he thinks they both belong to some kind of family?
At the Gotham City Police Headquarters, Bullock meets Lieutenant Ellison who is searching for his female partner ...
