Bloodlines

Nik Mayak was a normal young Chinese American man, when he found himself in a horrible accident that left his legs useless, and have to be in the hospital with medicine to help heal his legs. During the time, his uncle Kina comes to visit him at the hosipatal, and give him some advice on what to do with his life now. Nik begin training his upperbody by throwing objects mostly knives to help him focus. One day, strange woman vist the hosiptal, but turns out to be one of the alien parasites killing and feeding everyone in the hospital, and attack nik while still in his bed. After the attack, a doctor and a nurse came into his room and found his legs are able to work again. The hospital decided to let Nik leave with a clean bill of health; however,when Nik arrive at his home, he found his mom and sister attack and dead by unknown attackers. Nik created a costume made from various objects around the house, and start calling himself Nightblade. During the investigation, he was attack by people with powers with one of them ripping his arm clean off, and later he found out that his arm grew back. Nik's metagene was activated by the bite at the hosiptal, and use the medicine as a catalyst for him to have regenerative powers. Nik was later aided by Green Lantern Hal Jordan, and together are able to fend off the parasite alien out of Coast City.[1] Nik, later aided the heroes and other New Bloods to defeat all the other Bloodline parasites that form the Taker.

Blood Pack

Nightblade join a group of New Bloods call the Blood Pack for television, but the team was short lived after they defeated Quorom.

Infinite Crisis

Nightblade continue his superhero activities after the Blood Pack broke up, and was called upon by Oracle to help all the other superheroes to defend Metropolis from The Society. Nik and the Blood Pack fighting against Solomon Grundy; however, Superboy-Prime's heat vision blasted upon the Blood Pack and killing them all.[2]

One Year Later

After the Battle of Metropolis, it turns out that Nightblade has survived his death at Superboy-Prime's heat vision, as he was seen on the cover of Superman/Batman #33 among the other Alien and Alien-influenced heroes during Despero's alliance with an alien race.

Powers and Abilities

Powers

  • Regeneration: Nik Mayak has the power to regenerate any part of his body if it's cut off or otherwise.
  • Immortallity: Apparentally, that Nightblade's regenerative powers are so great, that he can survive and regrew his entire body from a single cell like Lobo, since he was able to survived a full blasted from Superboy-Prime's heat vision.
  • Enhanced Reflexes: Nightblade's reflexes are significantly sharper than the average persons, also due to his metagene.

  • Martial Arts Expert: Nik Mayak is a expert in the martial arts.
  • Knife Throwing: Nik Mayak has trained himself to be an expert of throwing knives or any other sharp objects.
