Okonoko was the Lantern that trained Deeter to become a superior Green Lantern. Once Deeter became a Green Lantern, Okonoko retired from the Corps. When Okonoko returned to the Green Lantern Corps, he was surprised to learn of the existence of the Sinestro Corps. He has taken on the task, in his sector, of trailing yellow rings that are searching for new recruits.^[1]
