Synopsis for "A Flag for Losers"

The brother of the commander at the French foreign legion outpost has chosen to fight on the German's side and is leading a column of tanks to the outpost in order to secure the well water. Besides the commander, no one else in the outpost is alive, so he props their bodies up on the walls to fool the Germans into thinking the fort is fully manned. The struggle becomes a personal struggle between the two brothers and the irony is that the outpost well has dried up so they are literally fighting over nothing. The two brothers end up killing one another and the Losers tell Ona not to cover the commander's body with the French flag. Knowing that he would want it flying, the Losers get a pole and fly the French flag next to the dead man's body and then move on out of the deserted fort.
