Dr. Owen Slade was a psychiatrist practicing in Manhattan. He received his medical degree from Harvard University. He took very little interest in what his patients had to say, and instead spent much of his time talking about himself. One of his patients was Wally West.
One of Slade's colleagues, Jarrett Parker, treated Chunk as a boy. When Chunk robbed the diamond exchange across the hall from Slade's office, Slade was able to give Wally enough information to track him down.
