I knew I was a hero and I didn't give a good damn what anybody else thought. To me, bein' a hero means doin' the right thing, no matter the odds or anybody's opinion. You do what you gotta do.

Notes
- Rather than just an anti-heroic identity for Jordan, years later, the miniseries Green Lantern: Rebirth will establish that Parallax is an evil entity composed of pure fear that was possessing Hal.
Trivia
- Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) became Parallax back in Green Lantern (Volume 3) #50 where he also killed the Guardians of the Universe and destroyed the Green Lantern Corps. He references trying to change the world to make it a better place, that was the premise for Zero Hour.
- Cyborg Superman and Mongul destroyed Coast City in Superman (Volume 2) #80, see excerpt. However, Mongul was already killed in Underworld Unleashed #1.
- It's mentioned that Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan have fought before on two separate occasions. These are Green Lantern (Volume 3) #0 and Green Lantern (Volume 3) #63-64.
- Hal Jordan references Guy Gardner almost becoming Green Lantern back in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #59, and then finally getting the position in Green Lantern (Volume 2) #195. The two of them fought it out for the position in Green Lantern (Volume 3) #25.
- The statues of Lanterns on display in Warriors are Salakk, Larvox, Brik and Bruun.
- John Stewart was crippled in a fight with Grayven while working for the Darkstars in Green Lantern (Volume 3) #74-75.
- The scene at Oliver Queen's grave will be heavily elaborated upon much later in Green Arrow: Quiver.
- Tom Kalmaku's mentioned family are his wife Tegra, and his children Keith and Kari.
