History

Platinum Flats is America's "High-Tech Capital". Located in California, just a half-hour away from Star City, it's home to numerous information age companies including YouSpace, MacroWare, NetCracker, Findster, and others. As a result it's a "rich" and "clean" city, and never showed any outward signs of organized criminal activity until Tabitha Brennan accidentally exposed it's "Metahuman Mafia"--led by the Visionary--after going on a rampage with a magic based weapon acquired from a member.

After finding out they were there, Barbara "Oracle" Gordon and her "Birds of Prey" relocated to Platinum Flats to combat the group and other local threats. Gordon set up a company, Clocktower Systems, both to hide in plain sight and generate income to operate the group.
