Porm is a Bottlenose dolphin, she was the one that originally found the abandoned Prince Orin at Mercy Reef when he was a baby.

Later on in his life as Aquaman, Porm became an advisor to Aquaman during times of stress, often simplifying things that he was making unnecessarily complicated. Aquaman became the only 'swimmer' or 'two fin', as she called the Atlanteans that Porm ever trusted.

Porm is actually the Queen of the dolphins and views each dolphin as her child, as opposed to viewing them as subjects. It's a point of view that has made her a very effective leader.
