Project Cadmus, better known as Cadmus Labs, was a scientific research facility.

History

The company was acquired by Lex Luthor in 2002, after he had tricked Harry Hardwick to sink his entire capital into Cadmus. What Hardwick didn't know was that Cadmus was worthless. This left him financially weak and allowed LuthorCorp to buy his company and all its assets, including Cadmus.

Cadmus Labs had been worthless, but under the leadership of Lex Luthor, things changed. Lex made it the center for his early research into the effects of the meteor rocks found in Smallville, Kansas.

When Lex had been seriously injured and had faked his own death, in 2009, he retreated to Cadmus Labs. Utilizing the facility's resources, Lex began a cloning experiment, to repair his damaged body. These experiments lead to the creation of LX-15 (later known as "Superboy").

In 2010, much of Cadmus was destroyed in a fire, started by LX-3.
