Radiation Production is the ability to generate and project radioactive particles. The dynamics behind this power vary from user to user. In some cases, a person with this power may produce an invisible wave of radiation that surrounds their body. In other cases, these individuals may have the ability to channel radioactivity through their bodies and project as concentrated blasts of energy. Different types of radiation include Electromagnetic radiation, ultraviolet radiation, atomic radiation, cosmic radiation and Kryptonite radiation. In the case of Sun Boy of the Legion of Super-Heroes, he absorbs ultraviolet radiation from the sun and projects at blasts of super-heated thermal energy. This particular power is similar to Pyrokinesis, but does not necessarily constitute an individual's ability to control flame. In the case of K. Russell Abernathy, his body produces Kryptonite radiation. Krytponite is chiefly known to be fatal to Kryptonians, but prolonged exposure to Krytponite radiation has proven harmful to human beings as well. Lex Luthor once wore a Kryptonite Ring, but the poisonous radiation infected his hand and he was forced to have it amputated. Test pilot Larry Trainor was exposed to cosmic radiation, which caused his skin to turn transluscent, and his entire body to glow with deadly radiation. Calling himself the Negative Man, Trainor was able to produce a non-sentient doppelganger of himself, which was composed of cosmic radiation.
