Synopsis for "Dark Forces"
Black Alice investigates the Pyramid of the Crocodile in Uruguay to hunt The Shadow-Riders. At Wintersgate Manor, Baron Winters sends Raven after Alice. Raven teleports into the Pyramid and Alice steals her teleportation powers, leaving Raven behind with the shadow-riders. Raven fights them off long enough for her powers to return, angrily teleporting back to Wintergate Manor.
Back at her home, Raven's mother is disappointed in her daughter who has missed a lot of class. Raven probes Skye Harper's mind to see what she knows about the shadow-riders. She is given a vision of a primordial earth, in which the arcanes were threatened by the growing race of human beings. One human discovered the secret to the arcanes and bred a species called shadow-riders specifically to destroy them. Alice teleports into the manor and steals Skye, followed shortly by an unknown force assaulting Wintersgate.
