History

Following the Sinestro Corps War, Atrocitus of the Five Inversions fully gave into the rage that had festered within him since the Massacre of Sector 666. Forging a Red Power Battery, Atrocitus freed himself from his crucifix and murdered the other Inversions, pouring their blood into a pool on Ysmault. He used the blood to form the Red Lantern Central Power Battery, which contained the red light of rage of the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum.

The Red Lantern Central Power Battery is literally on fire, burning with the rage held inside it.
