Synopsis for "Year of Blood, Part Six"

Damian recalls how he met and adopted Goliath; in Bialya during his Year of Blood he encountered a labyrinth protected by a man-bat troupe, as he slaughtered the beasts one remained and as it looked up with its innocent eyes Damian was reduced to tears and brought him back to Al Ghul Island where Talia agreed as long as he trained it to be a champion, as a Goliath.

In the present Talia, Damian, and the others storm Bialya and Prince Abush's palace wielding the scepter of kings that Goliath's family were protecting and Talia deposes Abush and names herself queen.

Damian awakes with several people scrubbing his body down and Talia stood over him explaining how she is attempting to build protections against Den Darga and to redeem herself, just as Damian is. Damian, however, does not believe her and goes to find Maya who is monitoring the news of Batman's death[1] and the rise of other Robins in Gotham City. Damian's denial ends up with him and Maya scrapping, held apart only by Goliath who prompts them to reconcile and Maya forgives Damian for her father's death.

Damian bids Maya goodbye and frees Goliath from his chains and allows him to live on Al Ghul Island as he returns home to sort out the Robin War.
