Synopsis for "Dashing Through the Snow"

In Gotham City, Robin investigates a burglary of old computer equipment involving a former spy of the Soviet Union named Piotr Vilk. Vilk's trail leads to a ski resort in Virginia, therefore Tim Drake decides to travel there with some friends and Alfred Pennyworth. Arriving there as well is none other than Impulse together with his school class as well as Max Mercury who "volunteered" to look after the kids. Bart und Tim meet for the first time using a ski lift and while Tim is eager for some action, Bart clearly seems petrified of skiing and, thus, backs off in front of his classmates. After sunset Bart watches how none other that Piotr Vilk leaves the lodge with a briefcase. Robin is alerted as well and follows Vilk using cross country skis. But he is not careful enough, that is why Vilk fires with a gun at the Boy Wonder. Thanks to Impulse none of the bullets hit their target though. Robin thanks Bart for the help - he immediately realized that Bart Allen and Impulse are one and the same person. Robin agrees to team-up with Impulse, but without revealing his own secret identity.

Again following Vilk, our heroes discover a military camp. Via radio Alfred advises Robin to stay put because an extremely violent militia group named White Heat might be involved. Of course, Impulse does not wait for nobody, runs into the camp and the fight with the bad guys begins. Mystral, a woman on an undercover mission joins the fray as well. All three heroes try to follow Vilk and his partner Deegan, but the villains escape.

An incoming Blizzard worsens the situation for the heroes and in the lodge Max Mercury decides to search for the missing Bart. Using telepathic power, Mystral is able to locate Vilk at Mount Crockett which also inhabits an abandoned military base filled with nuclear weapons. As Robin, Impulse and Mystral enter the base and attack the villains, it becomes obvious that Vilk and Deegan are looking to use the nuclear weapons for different reasons. Vilk kills his partner and sets off a countdown to start the missiles. One needs a password to stop the countdown again, but thankfully Bart's superspeed allows to try out enough combinations to be successful. After that Robin, Impulse and Mystral defeat Vilk's remaining henchmen. After parting with the mysterious Mystral, the boys make their way back to the lodge ...
