Synopsis for "The Stupid Death"
The Baffler, former associate of the Cluemaster, has Spoiler and Robin at his mercy. The two young heroes are tied up on the rooftop of an abandoned building which will be demolished by explosives shortly after sunrise. After the Baffler proudly told them how he had escaped the police shortly before his disciplinary hearing, he wants to leave the heroes to their fate. But the schlemiel stumbles, hits a pipe with his head and goes unconscious right in front of Spoiler and Robin. Robin dislocates one of his thumbs to free himself of the ropes tying him. Then he helps Spoiler and to her dismay, Robin wants to carry the Baffler out of the building as well. With the villain suddenly awakening again, this stunt gets even more difficult, but in the end everybody escapes the building before it collapses unter the explosion. Robin and Spoiler then knock Baffler out again and have the police take care of him. Now Tim once again needs to talk to Spoiler about their relationship. Actually he does not know if he is attracted to Spoiler or Stephanie, but as long as he has another girlfriend it does not matter anyway and both decide to leave it at that.
Tim returns home a little later where his father Jack is already waiting for him. He had a talk with Ariana's father and decides to ground his son!
Meanwhile, Ulysses Armstrong visits a weapons exhibition and becomes acquainted with Ali Ben Khadir, the leader of a small country, who is about his age and seems to be in need of some tactical advice ...
