Cosmic Boy, Rokk Krinn is a founding member of the Legion of Super-Heroes with the natural ability to manipulate magnetic fields.

On his native Braal, Rokk was a Magnoball champion, and a renowned athletic figure. After saving the life of billionaire industrialist R.J. Brande, along with two others Garth Ranzz and Imra Ardeen, he was invited to join the newly formed Legion of Super-Heroes, a team of superpowered teenagers representing the United Planets across the galaxy.[1] After the brief and unsuccessful tenure of the government-appointed Leviathan, Cosmic Boy became the Legion's first long-term leader.[2]

  • Braalian Physiology: Cosmic Boy is a Braalian who have the natural ability to lift and manipulate metal. Cosmic Boy can produce a number of effects.
    • Magnetic Manipulation: He can manipulate, repel or attract metal objects of varying sizes. Naturally, the more metal is in an object the easier it is for him to affect magnetically.[3][4][5]
      • Flight: Despite the use of his flight ring, Rokk can lift himself up and fly unaided. This ability works in space as well as normal levels of gravity.

  • Leadership: Cosmic Boy is a charismatic and effective leader, as seen during his successful tenure as the Legion's first leader.

  • Legion Flight Ring: All Legionnaires were presented with a flight ring that enabled them to defy gravity and sustain movement through the air by aerodynamically generating force.
  • Whereas the other Legionnaires more commonly receive their codenames upon entry to the Legion, Cosmic Boy is actually the nickname given Rokk from his days as a Magnoball champ.
