Brande, along with two others Garth Ranzz and Imra Ardeen, he was invited to join the newly formed Legion of Super-Heroes, a team of superpowered teenagers representing the United Planets across the galaxy.[1] After the brief and unsuccessful tenure of the government-appointed Leviathan, Cosmic Boy became the Legion's first long-term leader.[2]
