Ron Troupe is a politics reporter working at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, and a supporting cast member to Superman. He works underneath chief-editor Perry White, and closely alongside his co-workers Cat Grant, Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen, Lois Lane and Steve Lombard. His writing and demeanor are extremely intellectual and professional, often placing him into conflict with the more boorish sports writer Lombard. He was married to Lucy Lane at one point, and they had a son together named Samuel Troupe. Ron Troupe was created by Jerry Ordway and Tom Grummett, first appearing in Adventures of Superman #480.
