Rose Canton is a good girl with an uncontrollable, rebellious second personality named Thorn.
History
Rose Canton's father died when she was a girl, forcing her to be raised by her Aunt Cate. At one point, she had to be institutionalized for her mental health.
Once she was in high school, Rose experienced a strange break in her personality, developing an alter ego named Thorn that she seemingly had no control over.
After a wild night as Thorn - and Rose needing to put the pieces back together as herself in the morning, the girl realized that Thorn had blackmailed a pedophile that knew her dad for information related to his mysterious death. Rose, though hesitant, agreed to work with her other personality to find more information.[1]

Notes
- Rose Canton was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino, first appearing in Flash Comics #89. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Rose Canton first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in National Comics: Rose and Thorn #1 by Tom Taylor and Neil Googe.
- Due to Rose's Pre-Flashpoint family (Alan Scott, Jade, and Obsidian) all simultaneously being restored to the timeline by Doctor Manhattan in Doomsday Clock #12, Rose's current iteration as a high school student could have been affected by the timeline shift too.
- Though Rose's sexuality isn't explicitly known, Thorn is bisexual, having made advances on a boy named Troy and a girl named Melinda. [1]
