HistoryEdit

Originally a burlesque dancer, Sally Juspeczyk decided to take up the mantle of crimefighting to follow in the footsteps of Hooded Justice and Nite Owl. As Silk Spectre, Juspeczyk adopted the Americanized name "Jupiter", donning a costume derived from her burlesque days. Her single glove covered the acid-burn scars on her arm. A media darling, she gained massive amounts of publicity, much to the thrill of her manager. When she decided to scale back her crime-fighting career, her manager suggested a film career, a career that ultimately tanked.

Despite her early sensational successes as a member of the Minutemen, her life was frought with personal strife. Rumored to be romantically connected to Hooded Justice, Juspeczyk was attacked and raped by a jealous Comedian. After the Comedian and Silk Spectre reconcile, they have consensual encounter, leading to the birth of her daughter Laurie. Juspeczyk focused much of her later life on grooming Laurie to replace her as the new Silk Spectre.
