Salvation Run was a seven-issue limited series published between 2007 and 2008 tying into the Countdown to Final Crisis. It was written by Bill Willingham and Matthew Sturges, and illustrated by Sean Chen. The title featured all of the most dangerous supervillains of the DC Universe exiled to a planet several lightyears away from Earth, and struggling with the dynamics of their community while they try to figure out a way to get back home. Also, everything on the planet is trying to kill them. They are divided into three camps, those of Lex Luthor, the Joker and Vandal Savage. The series leads directly into DC Universe #0 and Final Crisis, where Libra is able to coerce the furious villains into joining his new Secret Society of Super-Villains.
