History
Named for the late Samantha Flynn, this vehicle is a modified 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP. Sam's owner, Diego Zhao, aka Rush, made special modifications to the vehicle to aid him in his one-man crusade. Headquartered in a secret channel on the F subway line in Brooklyn, Sam is equipped with an electrical conductor, busbar and solid steel casters, which allows Rush the ability to use power from the line's third rail. [1] By doing so, he can pilot the vehicle along any unoccupied line of tracks. The car is also equipped with a dual scroll turbocharger, increasing its power output at 2.1 hp (1.6 kW) per cubic inch. [2] The vehicle is also entirely bulletproof including the tires and windshield. If necessary, Diego can operate Sam's onboard systems and weaponry via remote control.

Little Sammi can deliver a ten-second pulse of electromagnetic energy, rendering all electronic equipment within it's immediate area inoperable. Sam's front grill conceals twin auto-loading Remington 12 gauge shotguns. The guns are belt fed with a mix of rifled slugs, flechette rounds, sabot charges or double ought buckshot. The car is also equipped with a steel hydraulic spike and steel-core ram for offensive maneuvers and blunt attacks.
Onboard Equipment
Sam is equipped with an in-line Nitrous Oxide booster, which increases the vehicles speed for a duration of twenty seconds.
Notes
- Unless otherwise noted, most of Sam's specifications are based upon the actual Pontiac Solstice GXP as detailed at Wikipedia.
Trivia
- This is not the first instance wherein a Pontiac Solstice has been related to something called Rush. It was also one of the cars featured in the 2005 PlayStation 2 video game, L.A. Rush.
- In September of 2006, DC Comics ran a sweepstakes contest for registered website users to win a 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP.
