Synopsis for "The Hourman Act One"

On December 24, 1938: Wesley Dodds meets Rex Tyler at Bannermain Chemicals. Rex Tyler's efforts to help an abused family backfire and Wes Dodds has prophetic dreams about Tyler's eventual role as Hourman. The Sandman comes to Rex Tyler's aid when the "Man of the Hour" gets in over his head. He later leaves Rex a note dubbing him "Hourman." He later gasses and interrogates Rex, thus learns about his incredible formula, which is not yet called "Miraclo".

Notes

• Rex can take a high-caliber pistol wound to the abdomen and still climb the exterior of an apartment building. Rex can take a sawed-off shotgun shot at point-blank range to the midsection AND drop off a hotel roof, cratering the street, and still walk away.
• Rex Tyler is a hearty and hard-headed fellow in this time-line, compared to the Rex Tyler of Earth-Two, who was frankly a bit of a weenie.
