Disfigured by Professor Pyg, Sasha became Scarlet, the sidekick of Red Hood.
History
Under the guise of "starting a new life", small-time crook Niko moves to Gotham City with his daughter, Sasha. In actuality, he is there to work alongside with his career-criminal brother Lev, as a henchman for Mister Toad and Professor Pyg. After narrowly escaping Batman and Robin, Niko decides to leave Gotham, returning home to pack against protests from Sasha; "I just escaped Batman, and that's something you don't do twice." Before making their escape, they are intercepted at the door by Professor Pyg and his Dollotron minions; puppeteering Lev's body to fool Niko into opening the door. Pyg has Niko tied down, lamenting his betrayal before applying a molten Dollotron mask. Meanwhile, Sasha is forced to watch the horrific procedure, fully aware that she is next.
Sasha, having already begun the conversion herself, is brought to an abandoned circus where she is tied to a broken down carousel horse. Later when Robin investigated the location, she unsuccessfully attempts to warn him of the danger he is in. When Pyg finally decides to finish her procedure, he is interrupted by Robin's escape from captivity. During the fight, Sasha is freed from her bonds by Robin, who promises to "get her out". While Robin deals with the Dollotrons, Sasha uses a nearby candle to set Pyg on fire, causing him to flee. Robin then follows after Pyg, abandoning Sasha to the mercy of the Dollotrons; Sasha pleading for Robin to save her.
It is later revealed that Sasha, along with the Dollotrons, were rescued by law enforcement and sent to hospital. However, the doctor's are unable to remove the masks without removing the victim's face tissue. Late that night, Sasha breaks out of her medical restraints and commits her first murder by means of smothering her Dollotron father. She is caught after the act by two guards who attempt to arrest her, only for them to be gunned down by Red Hood. Explaining that he is "looking for a partner", Jason offers his hand, to which the tormented Sasha tearfully accepts.

Red Hood and Scarlet
This was how Sasha became Scarlet, the Red Hood's sidekick. She joined him on his campaign of killing criminals and trying to supplant Batman and Robin's place in Gotham City. She was afraid to try to remove the mask Pyg had put on her. It could tear her face off or make it so no doctor could help her later. Jason Todd, the Red Hood, reassured her that whatever she decided to do about it would not make her any less special.
Working with the Red Hood led her into a confrontation with Robin, who had previous failed to keep his promise to save her. He was a much better fighter than she was, but he was still only a kid. She surprised him with a taser shot and stabbed him in the side. She then rendered him unconscious with a blow to the head, helping Red Hood capture the dynamic duo.
It was then that Red Hood and Scarlet were ambushed by an assassin called Flamingo, prompting Sasha to recall how her father and uncle once talked in whispers about a man they feared named Eduardo Flamingo, a good man who fought the Mob until they cut his brain apart and took away everything human. They made Flamingo kill his wife, his children and eventually everyone and everything he'd ever loved. On that day, Eduardo Flamingo became the King of Killers, the Ace of Assassins and Death. While Batman and Robin escaped from their trap, Red Hood and Scarlet attempted to combat against Flamingo. However both of them proved inferior to Flamingo's skills and Red Hood told her to run, and it was only with the timely arrival of Batman and Robin that they were not killed. During the fight with Batman and Robin, Scarlet was able to get behind Flamingo and proceeded to "let the punishment fit the crime" by slashing the right side of Flamingo's face. Flamingo throws her away and she runs away. She is last seen escaping Gotham in a stolen vehicle, and while she is driving her mask comes loose and falls off, with her fate unknown.
