Synopsis for "The Gravel in Your Guts Part 3"
Dino Poor Bear is about getting ready to leave home for work when he gets into an argument with his grandmother about family obligation and the kind of work Dino is doing. Granny tells Dino that if she finds out he is selling drugs, she'll call the police. Dino gives Granny some money to pay for medicine for his daughter's ear infection and responds that he is working for the police. Dino then leaves the house and gets into a car with corrupt police officers Doug Crow Dog and Randy Landers to begin his day of daily drug deliveries and payoffs. The last stop of the days is to the residence of Andy Short Bear, who the two cops brace for money owed by his son. Through a series of mishaps, Short Bear ends up stabbed in the face by Dino. The cops take Dino home.
The next day, Dino gets a call from his parole officer, Franklin Falls Down (the one honest cop on the reservation). Falls Down asks Dino about Short Bear's stabbing and if he is associating with Doug Crow Dog and Randy Landers. Poor Bear tells Falls Down to leave him alone unless he has a warrant and hangs up the phone. Dino goes out and does his deliveries for the day. When he returns home, Granny tosses a duffel bag at him and tells him he no longer lives here. While Dino was out, his sister found some of the drugs in his room and passed out in the back yard. Dino tells Granny to give him his daughter and he will leave. Granny says it is too dangerous for Dino to raise his daughter. Dino takes his bag and leaves. Crow Dog and Landers pick him up from the road and take him along to meet a buyer at the Badlands Cafe. When they arrive, Poor Bear goes to the bathroom. When he emerges he finds Mr. Brass has killed Crow Dog and Landers and now the Hmong wants to talk to Poor Bear.
