Scarface is the puppet of the infamous criminal the Ventriloquist, who believes Scarface to be a separate entity and his boss. Following the first Ventriloquist's death during Face the Face, a woman named Peyton Riley became Scarface's next servant. In the New 52, a new Ventriloquist named Shauna Belzer, instead of being lead by Scarface, works alongside her own puppet Ferdie. Scarface was created by Alan Grant, John Wagner and Norm Breyfogle, first appearing in Detective Comics #583. (1988)
