Synopsis for "Captains Cataclysmic!"

Captain Cold, Captain Stingaree, and Captain Boomerang kidnap three captains--of an astronaut crew, a ship, and a football team--and hold them for ransom, while Black Canary and Captain Comet strive to rescue them. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure breaks Copperhead out of jail, and announces to the Secret Society that he is taking over.

Notes

  • It is unclear in this issue if the trio of Captain Cold, Captain Boomerang and Captain Stingaree consider themselves to be acting as the Secret Society of Super-Villains, or as a new team. The narration refers to them as Captains Cataclysmic, but it is ambiguous if that is an actual team name or just the narrator being bombastic.
