Shondra Kinsolving (New Earth)

Shondra Kinsolving grew up as Sandra Asplin with her brother Benjamin in a household with an abusive father and a weak-minded mother. The father beat his children for being meta-human while their mother stood idly by. Eventually Benjamin realized the potential that he and his sister shared, and they killed their father, leaving their mother alive until years later, when they murdered her as well, from half-way across the globe.

Doctor Kinsolving was an esteemed physiotherapist living in Gotham City. When Batman was crippled by the monster known as Bane, Doctor Kinsolving was asked to oversee his recovery. She was astounded by his rapid recovery and began to suspect that he was lying to her about what really occurred to cause the injuries he had sustained. Bruce began to feel he could confide in Shondra and even began to have feelings for her.

While on a call to Jack Drake (Tim Drake's ill father), her brother, Benjamin Asplin (going by the alias Benedict Asp) and his cronies kidnapped her and Drake and fled to England. Bruce and Alfred took on disguises and flew to England to rescue Kinsolving and Drake.

While in England, Shondra is used by her brother to kill and entire village using her metahuman powers. Though normally used for healing, Shondra's powers can be amplified for malicious purposes, such as murdering an entire village against her will.

Shondra was inevitably rescued by Bruce, but the severe strain on her psyche caused her to revert to her child-like state and the want to be called 'Sandra', her real name.

A few years later, when Hush first struck at Batman, Shondra was stated by Alfred to have "got better," and later helped staff the surgery where Dr. Thomas Elliot operated on Bruce Wayne.

Powers and AbilitiesEdit

Powers

Healing: Shondra Kinsolving possesses the ability to heal major wounds through physical contact. Her powers can even heal what would otherwise be permanent spinal damage.

Abilities

Shondra Kinsolving is an expert in the medical field of physical therapy.

Strength level

Average: Shondra Kinsolving possesses the strength level of a woman her age, size and weight who engages in moderate regular exercise.

Weaknesses

Over-use of her powers causes Shondra to lapse into a coma.
