Synopsis for "Strange Adventures"

In the midst of the Thanagarian invasion, Hawkman crashes his ship on Rann. He, Hawkgirl and Adam Strange (who were all on board) meet the "underground" fighters, led by Sardath, who uses a Zeta-flare to transport them all to safety. Sardath then tells them that Alanna went on an undercover mission and has not been heard from since. Strange vows to go to Ranagar to find her.

Meanwhile, Alanna is taken to the "High Deleon," leader of the rebellion, and it turns out to be Kanjar Ro. He informs her that she is his hostage, unless Adam Strange surrenders. He also confides how earlier, he had negotiated an agreement from various races to invade Rann together in force.

Adam Strange, and crew, become armed with weapons to use against the different races, they head into the city, and as foe after foe falls, they finally rescue Alanna. However, Kanjar Ro has already left Rann to invade Hawkman's planet, Thanagar.

Notes

  • The story's title, "Strange Adventures," is a homage to DC's science-fiction anthology with the same name. The original series was notable due to the recurring featured character, Adam Strange.
