A former BX9 security robot at the Space Museum, Skeets came from the 25th Century with Booster Gold with news headlines for the next 50 years.
History
Booster used this knowledge to become wealthy and to stop disasters before they happened. Their success led to Booster's induction into Maxwell Lord's incarnation of the Justice League. Apparently dismissed and kept in storage (where he killed time surfing the Internet) during Booster's tenure in the Justice League, he is reactivated when Doomsday badly mangled Booster's power suit to help with repairs. Although he was unable to fix the suit, Skeets revealed again his utility when Blue Beetle came into possession of the Exorian Flesh Driver, an alien technology able to feed off of Booster's particular body energy. Willing to substitute the bulkier substitute armor he was forced to build for Booster, but lacking a proper software, Beetle downloaded Skeets's consciousness into the armor. As the flesh driver, Skeets could still counsel and help his owner, but he could also take control of Booster's body and motor functions when Booster was knocked unconscious. He was also in care of the more advanced features of the suit, "rationing" them to force his owner to a more rational use of the Flesh Driver.
Apparently, when Professor Hamilton built Booster a new power suit, similar to his original 25th Century technology, Skeets was again rebuilt as a stand-alone robot.
Infinite Crisis
He was destroyed by Maxwell Lord and used as surveillance technology that led to Blue Beetle's death. Shortly thereafter, Booster disappeared, telling his friend Bea he was going home.
Booster reappeared inexplicably with a rebuilt Skeets (or one from another point in time) on the moon. They arrived after Superboy-Prime destroyed the Justice League Watchtower and went off in search of the Blue Beetle scarab. They found it with Jaime Reyes and, together with Batman and a team of heroes, they destroyed Brother Eye.

Afterwards, Skeets attempted to help Booster in his quest for fame. However, he made several errors in recalling the future. One example was predicting the announcement of a new Justice League by Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. The three did not appear together and no new Justice League was announced. As a response to this, Booster had Skeets examined by Will Magnus, who confessed his lack of insight into future technology, but said Skeets seemed fine.
The only possible explanation Skeets offered was that someone was messing with time itself. Eventually, Booster told Skeets to find everything he could on Rip Hunter. Some time later they traveled to Hunter's last known lab to investigate the time anomaly. However, Rip was missing. Later still, Booster suffered a public ousting and the duo were forced to move from a penthouse condo to a much less luxurious rental apartment. Skeets suggested they investigate why 21st century history had been diverging from what was recorded and Booster reluctantly agreed.
Booster was tragically killed several weeks later saving Metropolis from an exploding nuclear submarine. During his funeral in Cincinnati, Skeets happened upon Booster's 21st century ancestor, Daniel Carter. Skeets convinced Daniel to help him regain access to Rip Hunter's lab. Once there, Skeets closed the door of the lab on Daniel, sending the young man into a time vortex.
Several weeks later, Skeets appeared in Metropolis with highly upgraded weaponry, along with dozens of pirates and androids he had brought from the timestream. He went on a deadly rampage, killing many new Everyman Project heroes as well as Super-Chief.
During Week 50, Rip Hunter, Booster Gold and Skeets arrive in the Rocky Mountains headquarters of Professor T.O. Morrow. Morrow is exhausted and stares wearily at the android face of Red Tornado in his workshop. Skeets begins shaking and the others discover that his robotic carapace has been functioning as super-advanced cocoon. The Venusian chrysalis, Mister Mind, emerges from the cocoon and threatens to consume the Universe. Rip, Booster and Morrow rush back into the Time Sphere. Hunter tells them that they are going back to where it all started.
Rip Hunter revealed to Booster Gold that, after the events of Infinite Crisis, the remaining Earths created by Alexander Luthor collapsed back together, combining historical remnants to form one New Earth. However, the single universe was too small to contain the energy inside it and it began replicating - into 52 identical Universes, a new Multiverse. Further, in the few seconds after the creation of this new Multiverse, the Earths (and their corresponding Universes) "will occupy the same space, each on a different vibrational plane.
During their efforts to stop the vastly powerful Mr. Mind from destroying every universe, Hunter described Mind's efforts as "eating years and events from this universe's history -- altering the Earth with every flap of his wings". This resulted in the Earths changing, becoming different from New Earth in varying degrees.
Hunter's plan to defeat Mr. Mind rested with Booster, Supernova, and Skeets. By fortifying Skeets' shell with Sivana's invention, Suspendium, they managed to imprison Mr. Mind in Skeets. Booster threw Skeets through an opening in time while Supernova ensured that it ended up in the correct time: Week 0 Day 0. Mr. Mind's devolved form is found (again) by Sivana, who imprisons him. Hunter used the 52 seconds of missing time to bind Mr. Mind, forever condemned to live within that loop.
