Synopsis for "Blood and Ink"

Young John Oakes is sent to prison in Soledad on a five-year stretch for a B and E charge. Almost immediately, he earns himself the attention of Ott – leader of the Aryan Brotherhood. The two get into a fight, and Oakes receives a beating until inmate Abel Tarrant steps in. Able Tarrant is the super-villain known as the Tattooed Man and has earned himself a position of fear and respect inside the prison.

Abel take a liking to Oakes, and admires a tattoo on the boy's arm. He tells him that he still possesses the "magic ink" that once gave him his powers and can use to adorn Oakes' body with new tattoos. John agrees and the two grow close.

Years pass and John's time is just about up. Ott decides to give him a violent send-off and accosts him. The power of John’s tattoos spring to life and defend him from Ott's advances. Abel Tarrant discovers that John is to be released and reacts negatively to the news. Angrily, he stakes his claim on John Oakes.
