Synopsis for "Died On a Saturday!"

S.H.A.D.E. takes Cyrus Gold into custody, and puts him on their helicopter back to headquarters. Just as they take off, Cyrus wakes up, and kills the guards holding him there. The pilots get distracted by the commotion in the back, and the copter does a nosedive. Cyrus is thrown out, and the copter crashes. Cyrus falls, and is impaled on a wooden stake protruding from the ground. Frankenstein and The Bride follow the sound of the explosion, and run into Cyrus, who has turned into Solomon Grundy. Frankenstein orders his troops to take Grundy, and Grundy plows through the troops, easily defeating them.

In the hospital, Alan Scott meets Molly, as Etrigan monitors their meeting using magic. The old man that offered Cyrus the job and watched him kill Dugan is there, apparently conspiring with Etrigan. The man tells Etrigan not to worry, as they will make sure that Cyrus Gold honors his contract. Meanwhile, Grundy continues to demolish S.H.A.D.E.'s troops. Grundy's hand suddenly explodes, and he turns to see the Bride, who is using holy water bullets against him. Grundy grabs her, but Frankenstein shoots his head open, telling him to take his hands off of his wife. She tells him that they're just friends, but Frankenstein thinks to himself that someday, she'll come around.

In 1885, Cyrus Gold stands in Slaughter Swamp, hearing a voice he cannot see. The voice says that he gave Cyrus a life he could only have dreamt of, and that now his time has come to die, and serve him forever. Cyrus turns and sees the man speaking, but he's in a shadow. Cyrus shoots him, but his bullets have no effect. The man smiles, and raises a knife at Cyrus.

Frankenstein stands over Grundy's headless body and prepares to shoot him in the head again to make sure he's dead, noting that Grundy does regrow a lot. His gun suddenly freezes, and Bizarro swoops down out of the air and grabs Frankenstein, as Grundy gets up and starts regrowing his head. Bizarro prepares to pummel Frankenstein, who tells the backwards creature to stop. Alan Scott arrives, and traps Bizarro in a green cage, telling him to take it easy, and that he has no idea what he's doing. Grundy sees Scott, and attacks him, forcing Scott to protect himself with a bubble. Grundy pounds on the bubble, which begins cracking. Frankenstein uses the distraction, and runs Grundy through the back with the Sword of Michael.

Cyrus stands in the swamp, with a knife in him, wondering how this happened, since there isn't anyone around to have done it. He falls over, and the voice says that this is the real beginning to their 'agreement'.

Grundy knocks Frankenstein away, declaring that he'll live. The sword begins glowing within Grundy, which causes a massive burst of light, engulfing Slaughter Swamp. Grundy pulls the sword out of him and drops it, asking for help. Grundy says that he'll kill, but before he can say who, he falls over. Bizarro bursts out of his cage, and flies to Grundy's aid, and holds him. The sun comes up, and Grundy says goodbye to Bizarro, before fading away into dust. Bizarro begins crying, and says his goodbyes to the zombie. S.H.A.D.E. leaves, and Bizarro flies away. Alan tries to stop him, but Phantom Stranger appears and tells Alan that they don't have time for that now, as they have one day left to help Cyrus. They both turn, and see something rising out of the water.
