Sookaroth hailed from an alien species known as the Mygorg. Like many of his Mygorg brethren, he was a slave owner and operated on a nameless planet, in an unknown star system. Many years ago, Sookaroth took possession of an infant child known only as Starfire. He raised Starfire as a slave, with the intention of one day making her his human bride when she came of age.

When Starfire was eighteen-years-old, she befriended a warrior priest named Dagan. Dagan helped Starfire escape from Sookaroth's clutches, and the two fled into the surrounding valley. Sookaroth mounted a search expedition for the two, and eventually caught up with Dagan. He tortured Dagan extensively, ultimately killing him in the process.

Prior to his unfortunate demise, Dagan had formed a passionate relationship with Starfire, and trained her extensively in the arena of hand-to-hand combat. Starfire was devastated when she learned of Dagan's fate and returned to the citadel of Mollachon where she slew Sookaroth. Sookaroth was but the first of many Mygorg slavers to fall beneath Starfire’s blade in the years to come.

Sookaroth was proficient in the areas of slave management and torture.

Strength level

Sookaroth possessed a strength level equitible to that of an average adult, male member of his species.

Sookaroth possessed a suit of battle armor with a spiked helmet.

  • This version of Sookaroth (Earth-One), including all history and corresponding appearances, was initially erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985-86 Crisis on Infinite Earths limited series. However the ending of Convergence retroactively prevented that collapse saving all the alternate realities though in an "evolved" form. Even though versions of the character may have since appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
  • It is unclear whether Sookaroth's reality is the same as Pre-Crisis Earth-One continuity or not. Whether Sookaroth's reality was erased with the collapse of the Multiverse during the Crisis on Infinite Earths event has yet to be revealed. Unless otherwise stated, his history and existence should be considered apocryphal.
