Spectre (Volume 3) #15 is an issue of the series Spectre (Volume 3) with a cover date of February, 1994.

Synopsis for "Old Blood"

The Spectre, still in a rage, hovers over the Sinai Peninsula and laments the helplessness of humanity's redemption. The Phantom Stranger appears and tells the Spectre that his destruction of the earth won't be allowed. The Spectre replies, "I have not yet determined to do so, but if I do, who will stop me?"

Dr. Kemal Saad, head of the Legion of Palestine, arrives in Cairo to continue peace talks with the Israelis. Members of the Hayoth, a group of Israeli commandos, look on through binoculars, expressing mixed feelings about the fact that they now have to protect the man who has masterminded raids that killed Israelis. Nevertheless, Saad is the only hope for peace.

In Salem, Massachusetts, the Phantom Stranger visits the home of Kent and Inza Nelson and informs them that the Spectre has gone mad. Inza changes to Doctor Fate and agrees to help stop him.

In Cairo, Ramban (leader of the Hayoth) uses his magic and detects a person with dark intent toward Kemal Saad. He isn't certain who it is (it is Corrigan, who is walking among the crowd that surrounds Saad); Ramban simply knows the being has unimaginable power.

Jim Corrigan walks past the soldiers who guard Saad. Golem (the strongman of the Hayoth) tries to fight him, but Corrigan changes to the Spectre and easily defeats him. Then, Ramban confronts the Spectre and urges him not to kill Saad, for it will cause more innocent blood to be spilled. The Spectre insisting that justice must be served, attacks Ramban. And to the Spectre's great surprise, Ramban survives.

Judith, an agent of Hayoth, attempts to evacuate Saad as Ramban continues to fight the Spectre. The Spectre knocks Ramban unconscious by hurling debris at him. As Judith and Saad rush down a hallway, Colonel Hacohen appears from behind a door. Hacohen shoots Judith in the chest. As he comes out of the shadows, it's revealed that he has been taken over by Eclipso. Just as Hacohen shoots Saad, the Spectre stops the bullet. The Spectre is angry that someone else is trying to judge Saad. Eclipso reveals himself in full and battles the Spectre. Ramban arrives and helps the Spectre attack Eclipso. Eclipso vanishes, leaving the Spectre free to kill Saad. But Ramban tells the Spectre that he has joined his life-force with Saad's, so killing Saad will also kill Ramban. The Spectre leaves in disgust. Ramban finds one of Eclipso's black diamonds lying next to Judith.

In New York City, the Phantom Stranger and Doctor Fate find John Constantine lying passed out on a floor. The Phantom Stranger decides that Constantine is not fit to take part in their mission.

In Gotham City, the Phantom Stranger and Doctor Fate visit Jason Blood, the Demon. He agrees to help them defeat the Spectre.

Elsewhere, Eclipso is disappointed that the Spectre is now aware of him. But he also notices that the Spectre is unbalanced and vulnerable.
