Synopsis for "Final Rites"

Tired of the crusade for vengeance, Jim Corrigan is able to convince both Father Creamer and the Spectre Force that his bones deserve a funeral.

In a service attended by the surviving members of the Justice Society, various mystical beings and "new" heroes who he had helped create, Corrigan's mortal remains are finally laid to rest. The Spectre Force then splits from its host and returns to the where-after as Corrigan's spirit finally departes this realm in peace. His head-stone, hastily raised before the service, is left blank. However, after everyone has left, a burning light from the sky etches the following epitaph: "James Corrigan, Servant of God."
