Spotted Balls (New Earth)

Spotted Balls was a Native American friend to Jonah Hex. They met again after many years at the Wild West Show run by Buffalo Will.[1] Hex decided to leave the camp to take a Bear Boy back to his family, who are explained to be spirit people. Spotting Balls accompanies them, and Buffalo Will sends a hunting party led by Long Tom to murder them.[2] They succeed in bringing the boy back to their parents, but Spotting Balls dies saving the child. Hex kills the entire hunting party, then returns to Buffalo Will with their corpses.[3]
