Synopsis for Unknown Soldier: "They Came from Shangri-La"
1942, the Empire of Japan have been relentless in their conquest of East Asia. The man known only as the Unknown Soldier undertake a special mission. Assuming the identity of an Air-Force officer, Captain Shales, he is sent to the USS Hornet where he joins a B-25 crew to take part in the Doolittle Raid.
After unleashing their bombs on the Japanese cities, and their fuel spent, the Unknown Soldier lands his bomber in China. He and the bomber crew come under attack by the enraged Japanese soldiers. The Soldier and the crew set the plane on fire and flee under the cover of the heavy black smoke. They soon encounter Chinese guerrillas, who are skeptical of the pilots and mistaken for German spies. However, the Unknown Soldier show them wrong by defeating one of the guerrillas' strongest men in hand-to-hand combat while sparing his life. The guerrillas welcome the B-25 raiders to Chunking where they are hail as heroes.
The Unknown Soldier soon return to America to report to his superiors on the success of the Doolittle Raid.
