Synopsis for "No Holds Barred"

Late 1944, Japanese submarines are menacing Allied convoys between Australia and America in the Coral Sea. The Allies have tracked the Japaneses raiders to the island Umastu, a refueling base. As the base is underground and thus protected from Allied bombings, the Unknown Soldier is tasked to infiltrate the base.

However, the Unknown Soldier would stand out among the Japanese due to his height. To bypass this, the Unknown Soldier impersonate German wrestler, Der Deutsche Angel, to compete against sumo wrestler Nikomo the Mountain in a tournament being held on Umastu.

The Soldier manage to place bombs in the base's fuel tanks before going to his match. Both the Germans and Japaneses intend on making sure their respective champion win by any means necessary. In the middle of the match Nikomo is drugged. But the Japanese referee attempt to discreetly assassinate the Soldier. Fortunately, the Soldier's bombs goes off and catching everyone off guard. This distraction also cause the referee to be fatally shot by Nikomo's translator, Ishima, who reveals to be a Japanese-American spy. Together, the Soldier and Ishima flees the island on a stolen plane.
