Synopsis for "Vivre Libre ou Mourir!"
Mademoiselle Marie has been sent to France to meet with the Maquis Du Gévaudan, the freedom fighters from Gévaudan. The SOE has made an arrangement with a Barge Captain that the fighters will take her to him and buy explosives to blow up the railroads. However, Alain Morange and his freedom fighters have other ideas about what to do with the money. Mlle. Marie, catches on and prevents them from comandeering the money. When they meet up with the Barge Captain, they find that he is Milice Française, a pro-Nazi French volunteer unit, and that he has sold them out. Luckily the explosives are hidden in barrels of liquor, and the rest of the Milice Française don't seem to be informed. Thanks to Ludivine, they are waived through a checkpoint, and even invited to bring some of the booze to a party the following night. Back at camp celebrating, they are suddenly attacked by the Milice. It appears that Ludivine is a traitor! Mlle. M takes of in the truck filled with the barrels of Cognac hiding explosives. Chased by enemy fighter planes, she jumps from the truck just before they destory it. Deciding to return to the freedom fighter's base, she finds them all dead and the base in flames. She eventually catches up with Ludivine and her Milice friends, recovers the money, and blows them up!
- The story title "Vivre Libre ou Mourir!" translates to English as "Live Free or Die!"
