Stellarium is a rare compound of unknown origin.
History
Many years ago, Green Lantern Tomar-Re sought to use Stellarium to stabilize the radically unstable uranium core of the planet Krypton. He had gathered a large supply of the rare metal and was en route to Krypton when the star Ariel went supernova, blinding him and delaying his journey. Tomar-Re was unable to reach Krypton in time to prevent its destruction.
Stellarium is later mentioned in modern age, in Omega Men Vol 3 where the Vega system is revealed to be a major source of Stellarium, which motivates the conflict depicted in the series.
