History

Steve Trevor was an American soldier whom Princess Diana of Themiscyra (Wonder Woman) fell in love with in her civilian identity of Diana Prince, and eventually they married. In 1953 Steve was flying over Korea when he was shot down. Diana sent her magical duplicate Wonder Girl to investigate, and found his body in the wreckage. She tried to use the Purple Ray on him to bring him back to life, but was unsuccessful. He died on the same day that his daughter was born, whom Diana had named Stephanie.
