Synopsis for "Up Against the Wall"

Belle Reve gains a new spiritual guide, Father Craemer. As the real chapel is already in use as the Suicide Squad's mission control center, Father Craemer has to make due with a converted store room as the new chapel. Father Craemer talks with the head of the prison guards, J. Daniel Murphy or simply "Murph," as they discuss their reasons for being at Belle Reve. Murph is then call by his superiors that Duchess, a mysterious woman who recently joined the Squad after she had brought the wounded Slipknot to the prison, is in the armory, where she has got her hands on a high-power assault rifle.

Meanwhile, Task Force X is still recovering from the events of Millennium. Colonel Flag is the most affected after Karin Grace gave up her life. Amanda Waller is indifferent towards Flag's plight as she sees his current mental state as a liability, and that he was never her choice for the Squad from the beginning unless he shows her anything to change her mind.

Waller prepares to leave for Washington, but stops short to discover that Batman has broken into Belle Reve. Batman comes to blows with the Suicide Squad and threatens to expose them. But he is forced to back down when Waller threatens to find out and expose Batman's identity if he does. However, Batman swears that he will find another way to take Task Force X down before leaving the prison untouched. Flag is galvanized by the entire situation with Batman, and ranting about fighting someone as noble as Batman all so he could protect "scum." So he plans on seriously getting the Squad to shape up. Waller, impressed, immediately puts Flag back as mission leader.
