Quote1 I hate places like this! There's no room here for entrepreneurs such as myself! They don't respect individual rights here like they do in America! At home, no one has their rights more carefully considered than a convicted felon. Gives you something to exploit! Here they'd just turn the key and forget it! Russia is no place for a bird like me. Synopsis for "Thrown to the Wolves"

The Suicide Squad are given thirty minutes by the US government to surrender themselves to the Russian government. Flag proposes their alternative is to make a desperate escape out of Russia. Trigorin knows one route is the Black Sea; as winter is setting, the sea is frozen solid and the Squad could make the 250 mile crossing at Balaklava where they will be extracted by Task Force X. The Squad disguise themselves as tourists by appropriating the clothes and passports from the real tourists. Nemesis elects to stay behind to stand guard over the detained tourists to prevent them from blowing the Squad's cover. After the Squad make their departure, Nemesis is captured by the People's Heroes.

The People's Heroes glean from Nemesis about the Squad's escape route and intercept them at Balaklava. Task Force X's rescue team consisting Bronze Tiger, Black Orchid, and Captain Boomerang arrive to assist the Squad against the People's Heroes. They manage to defeat them, but the Soviet military arrives on the scene. Trigorin is fatally shot and Nemesis is captured. The Squad is forced to leave without Nemesis.
